Author's Guidelines - IACSE Journals

Welcome to the Author’s Guidelines for journals published by the International Academic Centre for Studies and Education (IACSE). We are honored that you are considering submitting your work to our esteemed journals. To ensure that your submission adheres to the highest standards of quality and professionalism, please follow these detailed guidelines.

General Submission Requirements

  • Language: Manuscripts may be submitted in English. Please ensure that your submission is written in clear, high-quality academic language.
  • Word Processing Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) only.
  • Originality: All submissions must be original work and should not have been previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism: Submissions are subject to plagiarism checks. Manuscripts found to be plagiarized will be immediately rejected.
  • Ethics: All research involving human subjects must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki, and informed consent should be obtained where applicable.

Manuscript Structure

Your manuscript should follow this standard structure to ensure clarity and uniformity in presentation:

  1. Title: Should be concise and accurately reflect the content of the article. Avoid abbreviations.
  2. Author Information: Include full names, institutional affiliations, city, country, and email addresses of all authors. Clearly indicate the corresponding author.
  3. Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords that best describe the content of your paper for indexing purposes.
  4. Abstract: Provide a brief summary (no more than 350 words) highlighting the purpose, methodology, results, and conclusions.
  5. Introduction: Define the research problem, background, and the significance of the study.
  6. Literature Review: A review of relevant scholarly works that provided a foundation for your research.
  7. Methodology: Describe the methods used in your research, including any tools, models, or approaches applied.
  8. Results/Findings: Present your findings in a clear, logical order. Use tables, figures, and statistical data where necessary.
  9. Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and their implications, and suggest areas for further research.
  10. Statements and Declarations: Include funding sources, conflicts of interest, and acknowledgments.
  11. References: Cite all sources in APA 7th edition format.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Font: Use Times New Roman, size 12 for the body text.
  • Line Spacing: Set the document to 1.5 line spacing.
  • Margins: Standard 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.
  • Headings: Use bold for headings and subheadings.
  • Paragraphs: Indent the first line of each paragraph by 0.5 inches.
  • Figures and Tables: Should be placed in the manuscript near their first mention in the text.

Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract should summarize the key points of the article in no more than 350 words. It should include the research objectives, methods, major results, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: List 4 to 6 keywords immediately after the abstract to help with searchability and indexing.

Author Information

Please ensure that the following information is included for each author:

  • Full Name: Of each author.
  • Affiliation: Name of the institution, department, city, country.
  • Corresponding Author: An email address for the corresponding author.
  • ORCID (if available): The 16-digit ORCID ID of the authors.

Figures, Tables, and Illustrations

  • All figures and tables should be high quality, at least 300 dpi for images.
  • Provide captions for all figures and tables. The caption should clearly describe the content.
  • Figures and tables should be numbered sequentially (Figure 1, Table 1, etc.) and referred to in the text by their number (e.g., "As shown in Figure 1").
  • Use clear labels and legible fonts in graphs and charts.

Referencing Style

  • All references should follow the APA 7th edition style. Ensure consistency in formatting.
  • In-text citations should include the author’s last name and the year of publication (e.g., David, 2015).
  • The reference list at the end of your manuscript should include all cited sources, in alphabetical order, and follow APA guidelines.
  • For journal articles, include DOI links when available.

Types of Submissions

We accept the following types of submissions:

  • Full-Length Research Articles: Original research articles presenting new findings.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of a particular topic or field.
  • Book Reviews: Critical evaluations of books related to computer science and engineering.
  • Discussion Notes: Short discussions or commentaries on recent trends or issues in the field.
  • Articles in Translation: Translations of important works that are relevant to the field.

Ethical Considerations

  • Research involving human subjects or human data must comply with applicable ethical standards and regulations.
  • All studies must receive approval from an appropriate ethics committee, and this should be stated in the manuscript.
  • Informed consent should be obtained from all participants involved in the study.

Permissions and Copyright

  • Authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions for any third-party content (such as images, tables, or texts) included in the manuscript.
  • If using software, questionnaires, or scales, please ensure you have the appropriate licenses.
  • Authors will be required to sign an Assignment of Copyright form upon acceptance of the paper.

Funding and Conflict of Interest Disclosure

  • Authors must declare any funding sources and financial support received during the research.
  • Any conflict of interest must be disclosed. If none exists, state, “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Language and Editing

To ensure that your manuscript is clear and understandable:

  • Consider using a grammar-check tool or getting help from a colleague proficient in English.
  • You may use a professional language editing service if needed, though this is not a requirement for publication.
  • Once accepted, the manuscript will undergo professional copyediting.

Plagiarism and Originality

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a plagiarism check using advanced software. Submissions found to have significant similarity to existing works will be rejected.

Review and Revision Process

  • After submission, manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
  • Authors will receive feedback from reviewers and will be required to revise their manuscript based on the comments provided.
  • Revised manuscripts should be submitted within the timeline given by the editor.

Article Processing Charges

  • Authors will be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) after their manuscript is accepted.
  • The APC helps cover the costs of peer review, editing, and publication.

Final Submission Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, make sure to:

  • Adhere to the journal's formatting and structure guidelines.
  • Ensure the abstract is no more than 350 words and includes relevant keywords.
  • Include all relevant figures, tables, and references.
  • Ensure that citations and references are formatted according to APA 7th edition.

Publication Ethics and Standards

IACSE adheres to high ethical standards for publication. We follow guidelines that promote transparency, integrity, and academic honesty. Any misconduct detected will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript and may impact future submissions.

Changes in Authorship

If authorship changes (addition or removal) occur after submission, the COPE guidelines must be followed. A signed letter from all original authors must be submitted explaining the change.
