Abstract

The continuous growth in digital services and data-intensive applications has placed an immense load on cloud infrastructures, leading to soaring energy demands and environmental concerns. In this context, energy-aware cloud computing has emerged as a vital approach for ensuring sustainable service delivery. These models aim to optimize computational efficiency while minimizing power consumption and associated carbon emissions in high-demand environments.

This paper explores energy-efficient architectures and resource management strategies for cloud computing systems, focusing on their applicability in large-scale, heterogeneous, and dynamically changing infrastructures. The work further evaluates key models, discusses experimental findings, and proposes an optimized hybrid architecture to balance sustainability with performance. This study contributes to designing next-generation green cloud infrastructures that align with global carbon-neutral targets.
