Urban watersheds face increasing stress due to industrialization, urban sprawl, and climate variability. Real-time water quality monitoring supported by Hydro-Informatics Enabled Decision Support Systems (HIEDSS) offers a promising approach to address these issues effectively. This study explores the design, integration, and performance of a HIEDSS that consolidates sensor data, hydrological modeling, and policy analytics for sustainable urban water management. We present a modular system architecture, evaluate historical precedents, and analyze real-time water quality datasets. Results highlight the effectiveness of HIEDSS in improving response time, stakeholder coordination, and policy adaptability. Key findings emphasize the role of informatics in enabling predictive modeling and scenario planning in dynamic urban hydrological environments.
